"One more funny compilation I listened to. The Maxi Priest performance is awfully familiar – I was just surprised that it was released as early as 1990. Sandra sounds like always. "Highway of Love" by Laid Back – yeah, the same group that made "Sunshine Reggae" back in '83 – is quite all right. Vaya Con Dios' "What's a Woman" is almost as good as "Heading for a Fall" but much better than "Don't Cry for Louie." A familiar song, too; I remember some girl having presented it at school in some kind of juke box jury. "I Promised Myself", which one of my friends has played a lot as an A-Teens version, is here as a Nick Kamen original; it is probably the best song of the compilation. "Star" by Erasure – a number whose existence I had completely forgotten – is almost that nice. Kim Wilde sounds like herself. "Hey There Lonely Girl" is a nice song and I wonder if Big Fun is its original performer. Guru Josh was much more brilliant on "Infinity" than on the song that closes the album, "Whose Law (Is It Anyway)." Not a bad compilation; actually, this was quite interesting." by fairyeee at rateyourmusic.com 26.12.2007
