Notes

Was re-released in 2001 or even earlier. The 2LP came in a plain black sleeve with a tiny black sticker which shows a different catalog# 314 518 161-1, but on the labels the catalog# is the same.

Discussion about Ed O.G & Da Bulldogs - Roxbury 02119
inform
The original promo has the same black sticker in the top right hand corner in addition to a parental advisory sticker in bottom left hand corner. In addition the texture to the covers of the original promos are more rippled in appearance. Also the original promo vinyls have a much larger run out groove than reissues, surprisingly this does not affect sound quality. This is the first and most obvious indication of an original pressing. Also the labels have a statement indicating for promotional use on the top right hand corner of all labels next to the chemistry records logo. The Mercury logo is printed on the bottom centre of all labels too as pictured above. Finally the masterdisk etching is present in the run out grooves of the original pressings too. If none of the characteristics listed are visible then sorry to say its a bootleg/reissue. The first bootleg was issued during the 90s with white labels and the second bootleg/reissue was issued approx 2004 and was almost identical with the exception of a more yellowly/cream tone to record labels. Both boots also have a odd looking signature in vinyl runouts.
